Giuli Cues Construction Methods& Options

We try to follow traditional cue building techniques from the great cue makers that have come before us.   We use high quality woods and materials in all of our cue builds.

Quality & Consistency are key,  playability is second to nothing, followed by design.  We view our cues as playable art that will play well and hold their value for years to come.

Cue Options

Cue Building

The rear of the cue (Handle Area)

All of our pool cue butts are maple cored This process helps to maintain straightness over time and consistency.

While helping with balance point placement and weight.

( we do not use metal pins in our butt joining process)

Joint Pin

white Giuli cue Joint collar

There are countless  joint pins on the market and every cue maker has a specific pin that they prefer to use on their cues.

We prefer a modified 3/8 x 10 pin on our cues although we do offer a 5/16 x 14  pin option if you  prefer.

We prefer to use a larger pin than most cue makers because we feel it offers a superior hit. The threaded connection we offer on our cues offers better feel and response than the quick release joints and smaller pins used by other makers.

Joint Collars

We use a variety of high quality materials each offering their own specific  set of positive qualities to your Cue..

*All of our Joints are flat faced *

Butt cap:

Most of our butt caps are either white or black.  They vary in thickness and style.

(helps protect the cue from breakage over time)

Rubber Bumpers:

We use a threaded  rubber bumper on the butt of all our cues.  This helps protect from cracking and breakages. Mostly from Misuse.

We use plain solid black bumpers as well as bumpers with the "Giuli Custom Cues" logo

Shafts

Traditional Maple:

Our standard maple shafts  go through a pretty extensive selection process which generally takes around 2 years before making it into a cue.  we use straight grained maple and turn it down over time checking for defects and twisting as we go.   To ensure you get the best possible straight shooting shaft we can offer

Kielwood Shafts:

Roasted maple.   Low deflection shaft upgrade we offer.
